Using the VCV Manager account for the first time
The VCV Manager email address receives various messages:
- IONOS invoices (every month for the use of the website)
- messages from VCV members,
- ad-hoc enquiries from outsiders,
- messages from the IONOS Support Team,
- form messages from the Contact Us page.
By using the VCV Manager Google account, you can also update the calendar, various Google documents and the VCV schedule (Quick View document). However, if you are using this account for the first time, or from a new or different computer, you might struggle to get logged in.
Google detects that a different computer is trying to access the VCV manager account, and requests a passcode in addition to the usual user name and password. (This additional step prevents an unauthorized person from accessing the account, even if they have the username and password.) Google sends the passcode, as either a text message to the current website administrator's phone, or as an email to the current website administrator's personal email address.
So, before you start, contact the current website administrator to be ready to give you the passcode.
