Adding new site information

To add a new site on the Sites page

You need the name of the website that describes the place (such as a BBOWT site, or other trust website.) If no website exists, you can make an entry on the Other Sites page. See later on this page.
  1. Get a website/webpage address. Get the map references.
You can get the latitude/longitude values from a Google Map.
You can get the postcode and other map references (like Ordnance Survey, what3words, and latitude/longitude values) by using https://gridreferencefinder.com. Find the location on the national map, then right-click to see all the information. You can click and drag the information, then copy and paste the information for later use.

  2. Click in the row next to the nearest alphabetic entry. Click on [ROW] and select Copy.
  3. Then select Paste.
  4. Edit the text to create the name of the new place and all its map references.
  5. Make a link to the name of the place.
  6. Make a link to the map reference.
