Adding new site information
To add a new site on the Sites page
You need the name of the website that describes the place (such as a BBOWT site, or other trust website.) If no website exists, you can make an entry on the Other Sites page. See later on this page.
- Get a website/webpage address. Get the map references.
You can get the latitude/longitude values from a Google Map.
You can get the postcode and other map references (like Ordnance Survey, what3words, and latitude/longitude values) by using https://gridreferencefinder.com. Find the location on the national map, then right-click to see all the information. You can click and drag the information, then copy and paste the information for later use. - Click in the row next to the nearest alphabetic entry. Click on [ROW] and select Copy.
- Then select Paste.
- Edit the text to create the name of the new place and all its map references.
- Make a link to the name of the place.
- Make a link to the map reference.
To add a new site on the Other Sites page
- Click in the nearby row. Click on [ROW] and select Copy.
- Then select Paste.
- Edit the text, and replace the picture.
